Farm animals
Toft Lodge Veterinary Centre has provided a continuous service to the farming community around Easingwold for over 50 years. During this period requirements for veterinary services have evolved dramatically, and we pride ourselves in being at the forefront of recent advances. Our dedicated team of 9 farm vets (working exclusively with large animals) provide a full range of services to our clients and those of our partner practice Bishopton Veterinary Group in Ripon.

Our vets each have their own areas of special interest, including 2 partners working mostly in pig herd health and management, and 2 of our farm vets hold the Royal College Of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Cattle Health and Production. Providing a traditional 24 hour emergency service will always be an important part of our workload. To this end we always have a minimum of 2 dedicated farm vets on call outside of normal practice hours. Increasingly we are providing preventative healthcare advice to our farm clients, working to prevent disease rather than react to it.
At Toft Lodge we stock a wide range of medicines for our farm patients, and receive special orders from our wholesaler daily. For our recent newsletters click here and select the 'download our newsletter' button.
Some of the more specialised services we offer include :-
- Dairy Herd Health Schemes (including Interherd recording and benchmarking)
- Beef Herd Health Scheme
- Routine Visits to pig herds and Farm Assurance Inspections

- Advanced Cattle Breeding Services (including embro transfer and bull fertility testing)
